Paul Edward Frye, age 72, of Somerset, KY, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 9, 2020.
Paul was born on November 6, 1948 in Eubank, KY to the late Waldo Frye and Ruth Burton Frye. He was faithful to his parents. After his dad passed away, he was an excellent caregiver to his mom and always made sure she had anything she needed. Paul was a former member of New Hope Baptist Church in Nancy where he was a song leader, Sunday school teacher and Deacon for many years. He was currently a member and attending East Somerset Baptist Church. Paul was a co-owner of Frye Lumber Co., and was a hard and dedicated worker. He operated the Sawmill amongst the many other jobs he did. He was a good businessman and always honest in his business dealings. He always liked to tell his co-workers about Jesus. Paul had a strong Christian faith and loved the Lord. He loved everyone, especially his family. He adored his granddaughter, Kaylyn, who held a very special place in his heart.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Peggs Frye, whom he married on July 24, 1971 in Tazewell, TN; one son, Kevin (and Myra) Frye of Somerset; one granddaughter, Kaylyn Faith Frye; five brothers, Joe (and Shirley) Frye of Michigan, Wayneth (and Marie) Frye of Nancy, Edsel (and Sandy) Frye of Burnside, Gary (and Sherri) Frye of Burnside and Bruce (and Diana) Frye of Somerset; two sisters, Janice (and David) Rogers of Somerset and Judy Dalton of Somerset; and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Raleigh Frye; and one brother-in-law, Gene Dalton.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 10:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will follow on Thursday at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Murrell Crockett officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be his co-workers from the Sawmill.
