William Sewell

William "Bill" Frank Sewell, age 86, of Somerset, departed this life on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.
Bill was born August 18, 1929, in the Shopville Community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gifford D. Sewell and Zula Hargis Sewell, one son, Kenneth Eugene Sewell, and two brothers, Charles E. Sewell and Bobby Sewell.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jean Maines Sewell; his son, William David Sewell (and Teresa); his son, Charles Robert Sewell (and Fern); two grandchildren, Eric Travis Sewell and William Kendall Sewell; two great-grandchildren, Erica Haley Sewell and Travis Michael Sewell; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was retired from Ferguson Gas Company. For many years, he was a "self-employed" technician for heating, air conditioning and appliances. Bill was a member of the Potter's Place Church, of Somerset.
Bill and Jean were married on June 24, 1950 and celebrated sixty-five years of marriage upon their anniversary this year.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow the visitation in the funeral home chapel, at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, with Bro. Gerald Ashley and Bro. Clyde Strunk officiating.
Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the Gideons Memorial Bible Plan.
