Wendell Thompson

Wendell Harold Thompson, age 77 of Burnside, KY, departed this life on Monday, June 14, 2010 at his home.

He was born on December 6, 1932 in Wayne County, KY, the son of Hubert and Rebecca (Morrow) Thompson. Mr. Thompson was a retired truck driver for Super Service, Inc. and a longtime employee at the "Old Hometown Service Station' in Burnside, KY. He was a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church, a Kentucky Colonel, and a big U.K. fan.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, Anna Lee (Stringer) Thompson, whom he married on April 26, 1954 in Wayne County, KY; a daughter, Kathy (and Scotty) Richardson of Burnside, KY; a sister, Irene (and Bill) Brady of El Paso, TX; three grandchildren, Chad (and Serena) Bolin, Angel (and James) Burton, and Jonathon Richardson; four great grandchildren, Taylor and Tori Burton, Hunter Frodelius, and Jayden Bolin; and lots of special friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter, Katie L. Bolin; a brother, Rex Thompson; and two sisters, Eula Faye Neal and Lucy Gregory.

Mr. Thompson will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Thompson will be Wednesday, June 16th at 6:00 pm at the Main Street Baptist Church in Burnside, KY.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 17th at the Main Street Baptist Church with Bro. Allen Keith officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to the Grave Hill Cemetery Fund.
