Wallis Earl Morris departed his earthly life for a home in Heaven on Friday May 5th, 2017, at 87 years of age.

Earl was born May 11, 1929 in Science Hill, KY . Earl enjoyed 65 years of marriage to the love of his life, Ramona Faye Morris, from Clovis, New Mexico. From this union, God blessed them with three sons. After 23 years of proud service in the United States Marine Corps (1947-1970), they retired to Science Hill, where they fully enjoyed life for many years. Earl especially loved working with his hands, visiting with family and friends, his grandchildren, and spending precious time traveling with his wife. Earl was a Christian and member of Duke Memorial Baptist Church.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jenny Hoskins Morris; brothers, Robert, Raymond, James, George Jr, and Bill; and sisters, Mavis, Marie, and Charlene.

Left to mourn his passing are; sons, Wally (Beverly) Morris of Somerset, KY, John Morris and Charles Morris, each of Knoxville, TN; granddaughter, Christina Morris of Knoxville, TN, and grandson, David Morris of Somerset, KY; step-granddaughters, Cathryn Penick Hahn and Brittany Penick, each of Somerset, KY; one brother, John (Beverly) Morris of Science Hill, KY, who he loved dearly, and a whole host of family and friends. The family wishes to give a special mention of Jeannie Smith Wise, of St. Matthews, SC who was just like a daughter to Earl and Pat; and Henry and Connie Thomas of Katy, TX who were just like a brother and sister.

Visitation for Earl will be on Monday May 8th, 2017, after 6:00 p.m. in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 9th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. David Morris and Bro. Randy Smith officiating.

Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Full Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.
