Virginia Spears

Virginia Hazel "Snookie" Spears, daughter of the late Sam P. and Helen Doolin Vaught, was born in Springfield, IL on February 26, 1931 and she departed this life on November 27, 2020 in Jamestown, KY having attained the age of 89 years.

She was united in marriage to Vernon E. Spears, he preceded her in death.

Survivors include; two children, David Spears and Sandra (and Gene) Burton all of Somerset, KY; one brother, Donald Vaught; one sister, Midge Dye; four grandchildren, Heather Burton Criswell, Jon Spears, Brandi Super, and Matt Burton; and nine great grandchildren, Madison Criswell, Braxton Burton, Bryton Burton, Benton Burton, Micah Super, Able Super, Lily Super, Ezra Super and Cooper Spears.

Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Sherri Spears; three brothers, Creston Vaught, Jay Vaught, and Sammy Vaught; and one sister, Bernice Price.

Virginia retired from the United States Postal Service and was a kind lady who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Due to Covid-19 restriction mandates, the family of Mrs. Virginia Hazel Spears will observe a private funeral service on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
