Thomas "Frog" Ard of the Faubush community, the son of the late Morgan Buckner and Cleo Patra Ashbrook Ard was born at Faubush, Kentucky on April 3,1924 and departed this life on June 13,2010 at his home in Faubush , Kentucky having attained the age of 86 years. He was united in marriage to Ersie Johnson Ard on September 18, 1943 she preceded him in death on June 2,2007. Frog is Survived by three son's ; Ralph (and Theresa ) Ard, Dormis (and Mary Lou ) Ard , Wayne (and Anita) Ard all of Nancy, Kentucky , Twelve grand children; Kelli Ard of Nancy, Constance "Connie" Ard of Louisville ,KY, Teri Denham of Nancy, Brandi Ard of Nancy, Amanda Pitman of Somerset, Clinton Ard of Germany, Melonie Ard of Franklin, KY, Marta Farmer of Somerset, Shannon Smith of Somerset, Roger Ard New Albany , IN John Ard of Nancy, Stacey Ard of Atlanta GA and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife , a daughter Regina Geraldine Ard two brothers; Lincoln and Easton Ard , Three sisters Gertrude Foster, Lucene Foster, Onita Rutherford and Two grandsons Steven Thomas Ard and James "Jamie" Ard. Mr. Ard was a member; Sievers Masonic Lodge #491 F.A.M. , Fidelis O.E.S. Chapter #245 , the American Legion Post #38 and Smith Grove United Baptist Church. He was a farmer and worked at the Somerset live stock market for over 25 years and a WW II U.S. Army Veteran . A graveside Masonic service will be held on Wednesday June 16 2010 at 11:00 a. m . at Lakeside Memorial Gardens with military Honors by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard . The family of Mr. Thomas "Frog" Ard will receive friends after 5 p.m. on Tuesday June 15,2010 . The family request in luie of flowers donations be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland 100 Parkway Dr. Somerset KY 42503 or D.A.V. Pulaski funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements
