Shirley Ford

Shirley M. Ford, age 82, of Ferguson, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at her residence.  Shirley was born on October 12, 1941 to Estle Shadoan and Ester Worley Shadoan in the Saline Community of Pulaski County.   She was a graduate of Pulaski County High School and she attended Beauty College in Danville, then worked as a beautician for many years.  Shirley met and married husband, Richard Ford on May 8, 1962 at Duke Memorial Baptist Church.  They have enjoyed 62 years of marriage together.  

Survivors include her husband, Richard “Dickie” Ford; her son, Rick Ford; and three grandchildren, Joshua Steven Ford, Jordan Daniel Ford and Jerrica Ford, several nieces and nephews and friends and neighbors who are saddened by her passing.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Estle and Esther Shadoan; and three brothers, Estle “Tom” Shadoan, Billy Shadoan and John Darrell Shadoan.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Somerset, KY with her grandson, Jordan Ford officiating.
