Shirley Allen

Shirley Jean Allen, age 77, of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Monday, December 14, 2015 at her residence.

Shirley was born on October 22, 1938 in Somerset, KY to the late George R. Bullock and Mary Catherine Haynes Bullock.

She is survived by three sons, William (and Mandy) Allen, Jr. of Farmington, NM, Johnny (and Jen) Allen of Somerset, KY and Charles (and Melody) Allen of Somerset, KY; four daughters, Wilma Jean (and Robert) Wright of Somerset, KY, Janice Trimble of Somerset, KY, Joanna Allen of Somerset, KY and Frances Richardson of Somerset, KY; a brother, George Bullock of Somerset, KY; twenty seven grandchildren; thirty four great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and three very special friends, Linda Allen, Imagine Allen and Becky Phelps.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Allen whom she married on May 11, 1953 in Somerset, KY; two sons, Kenneth Earl Allen and Jerry Lee Allen; two daughters, Barbara Ann Allen and Delores Ann Allen; a granddaughter, Dwana Allen, two grandsons, Alerico Allen and Wendell Burdine, Jr.; and a great-granddaughter, Samantha Rose Rayburn.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will follow on Friday, December 18, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. David Bullock officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Allen, Corey Mounce, Doug Hall, Roger Adkins, Robert Wright, Charles Allen, and William Allen, Jr.
