Sharon McGowan

Sharon Bogle McGowan, age 68, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Landmark of Danville. 

Sharon was born on April 23, 1954 to the late Jerry Bogle and Carole Tarter Bogle in Somerset, Kentucky.  

She was an Assistant VP for 26 years plus for First and Farmers, worked for Majestic Houseboats as an interior designer and Doormaster as a sales rep. She enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. 

Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Bogle. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Everett “Duke” McGowan; her mother, Carole Bogle; brother, Glenn Bogle of Somerset, Ky; sister, Melodie Spears of Somerset, Ky; nieces, Amanda Spears of Somerset, Ky; Courtney (Jacob) Parmley of Somerset, Ky; nephew, Jeremy Bogle of Somerset, Ky along with special friend, Sharon Whitis of Eubank, Ky.  

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 10 A.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 11 A.M. with Bro. Hobert Bolin officiating. Entombment will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Sharon McGowan.
