Seth Joseph Swartz, Jr.
(January 3, 1922 - August 2, 2010)

U.S. Veteran Mr. Seth Joseph Swartz, Jr. son of the late Seth Joseph Swartz, Sr., and the late Pearl Mae Welch, was born in Lexington, KY on January 3, 1922 and he departed this life on Sunday, August 1, 2010 having attained the age of 88 years.

He was united in marriage to Mrs. Fern Ryan Swartz, she preceded him in death.

Survivors include, two sons, Ron (and Jennifer) Swartz, and John (and Vikki) Swartz all of Somerset, KY, and five grandchildren, Nathaniel Swartz, of Mt. Vernon, KY, Tiffany Swartz, Celesteen Swartz, Abbie Burkett and Austin Swartz, all of Somerset, KY and two great grandchildren; Cameron Johnson and Cami Williams and one sister, Catherine (and Bobby) Hickerson.

Other than his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one son, Donald Joseph Swartz; one brother, R.T. Swartz; and five sisters, Virginia Brown, Nellie Mae Johnson, Nancy Hall, Mildred Swartz and Gertrude Henderson.

Seth was a Somerset High School Graduate and he worked, as a Jounryman and electrician. He was also a World War II Army veteran, having served in the European Campaign and was of the Catholic Faith.

Funeral services will be held at1:00p.m. on Wednesday August 4,2010 with Dr. G. A. Wiegel officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mr. Seth Swartz will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11a.m., Wednesday August 4,2010 until time for services.

Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38.
