Rodger Flynn

October 9, 1965 — March 11, 2016

Rodger Darrell Flynn, age 51, of Naomi, KY, departed this life on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Rodger was born on October, 9, 1964 in Somerset, KY, to the late Lowell B. Flynn and Ina Ruth Rice Flynn. Rodger was passionate about many things; family and carpentry were on top of the list. He was fortunate to learn from the best, working under his father with the family business. After the passing of his father, Rodger carried on the tradition proudly. Rodgers passions also included the Kentucky Wildcats, Washington Redskins, Pulaski County High School Basketball, and most of all; being "on the lake" with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Flynn, who he married on May 23, 1997 in Gatlinburg, TN; a daughter, Christy (and Jamie) Cox of Nancy, KY; a brother, Richard (and Judy) Flynn of Liberty, KY; two sisters, Carlene (and Jimmy) Curry of Somerset, KY; Diana (and Mark) McFarland of Campbellsville, KY; a grandchild, Grayson Cox; a very special circle of friends, Dave (and Mary) Burdine and Steve (and Teresa) Combs; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
