Rita Mae Anderson, age 77, of Somerset, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Rita was born on November 22, 1939, in Pulaski County, daughter of the late Ray and Octave Eastham Anderson. She was a member of the Cook's Chapel Methodist Church, of Faubush, and attended the Heritage Hope Church of God, of Somerset. Rita was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and being with her family.
She is survived by her son, David Ray Schock; her brothers, R.A. Anderson (Marlene), Ray Anderson (Doris), and Thurman Anderson (Nancy Marcum); her sisters, Jewell Ard (Clifford), and Pat Randolph (Ronnie); and her companion, Gary Gregory.
Rita is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Friday, August 18, 2017, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at the Somerset Undertaking Company chapel.
A Celebration of the Life of Rita Mae Anderson will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., with Bro. David Green officiating. Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
