Ramona Faye "Pat" Dean Morris departed her earthly life for a home in Heaven on Saturday, April 9, 2016, at 83 years of life.
Pat was born November 15, 1932, in Clovis, New Mexico. Pat enjoyed 65 years of marriage to the love of her life, Wallis Earl Morris, from Science Hill. From this union, God blessed them with three sons. After 23 years in the United States Marine Corps, they retired to Science Hill, where they fully enjoyed life for many years. Pat especially loved cooking and entertaining for family and friends, flower gardening, and spending precious time traveling with her husband. She attended Duke Memorial Baptist Church.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Dean and Theresa Forsthoffer Dean; brothers, Clyde, Raymond, Leo and James Dean; and sisters, Loretta Dean Fury and Anna Stacey.
Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Earl; sons, Wally (Beverly) Morris, of Somerset, John Morris and Charles Morris, each of Knoxville; granddaughter, Christina Morris and grandson, David Morris, each of Lexington; step-granddaughters, Cathryn Penick Hahn and Brittany Penick, each of Somerset; sisters, Florence Hendricks, of Kailispell, Montana, and Elizabeth Trapp, of Roswell, New Mexico; a special mention of Jeannie Smith Wise, of St. Matthews, South Carolina, who was just like a daughter to Earl and Pat; and a whole host of family and friends.
Visitation for Ramona "Pat" will be on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, after 6:00 p.m., in Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held on April 13, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. David Morris and Bro. Randy Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
