Paula "Bessie" Neikirk Holder, 102, of the Pleasant Hill Community passed away September 19, 2015 at Somerwoods Nursing Home.
She was born on March 16, 1913 to the late Susan Neikirk. She was the oldest member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was retired from
Southern Belle Dairy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Holder.
She is survived by two step-daughters, Sara Godby and Salvicy Thompson of West Somerset; one step-daughter-in-law, Mildred Holder of Lexington three nieces, Mary Godby of Science Hill,
Paula Wesley and Lula Bowman of Somerset; four nephews, Carl Hall of Rockville, IN., Charles Hall and Rondall Neikirk of Somerset, and Bert Hall of Science Hill; also several step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Holder; two brothers, Durwood Neikirk and Gilbert Neikirk; two sisters, Daisy Hall and Elizabeth Brigance; two step-sons, JP Holder, Jr., and William Holder; four nephews, Donald Hall, Harold Neikirk, Durwood Neikirk, Jr., and Paul Neikirk.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Bert Hall and Bro. Darin Godby officiating.
Visitation for Mrs. Paula "Bessie" Neikirk Holder will be from 11am to 1pm, Thursday, September 24, 2015.
The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideons International.
