Nora Weaver

August 11, 1924 — June 6, 2010

Nora Elizabeth Jeffers Weaver, age 85, of Somerset passed away Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Peach Tree Nursing Home, Smyrna, TN.

Mrs. Weaver was born in Oneida, TN on August 11, 1924 to the late W. Jay & Nancy Mae Carson Jeffers. She was a retired seamstress at Palm Beach, played piano, loved sewing for her family, and helped care for many friends and family members in their times of need. She was a Sunday School teacher, teaching primary classes and senior classes during her over 50 years of being a member of High Street Baptist Church.

Mrs. Weaver is survived by 3 daughters: Judith (& Harold) Lezotte, Leesburg, FL; Joyce (& Jack) Foster, Greenwood, IN; Jeanette Robinson, Smyrna, TN; 2 sisters, Rosa Lee Coffey, Oneida, TN, and Violet Marcum, Oneida, TN; 6 grandchildren: Douglas Foster, Deron (& Nancy) Cundiff, Eric (& Dacia) Foster, Jenna (& Mike) Price, Mark Robinson, and Matt Robinson; a special brother-in-law, Joe Weaver, Frazier, KY; a sister-in-law, Lucy Hutchinson, Monticello, KY; 15 great-grandchildren; 1 step-great grandchild and 1 step great-great grandchild.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Luther "Frank" Weaver whom she married on May 1, 1941, in Oneida, TN, at her parent's home and a sister, Goldie Fortenberry.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2010 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 W. Hwy 80, Somerset.

Funeral services for Nora Elizabeth Jeffers Weaver will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2010, at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. C. E. Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
