Nellie Davis Cash, age 77, of Somerset, KY departed this life on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at her home.
She was born on May 14, 1933 in McCreary County, KY to the late Claude and Gracie Lee Corder Davis. Mrs. Cash was a homemaker and a member of the High Street Baptist Church in Somerset.
Mrs. Cash is survived by her two sons, Stephen (and Sherry) Cash of Somerset, KY and Robert (and Terrie) Cash of Somerset, KY; a daughter, Sheri (and James) Inman of Somerset, KY; eight grandchildren, Matthew Cash (Amanda) of Somerset, KY, Amy Wheeler (Josh) of Science Hill, KY, Matt Cash of Lexington, KY, Josh Cash of Somerset, KY, Nicholas Cash of Somerset, KY, Elizabeth Cash of Somerset, KY, Jordan Inman of Somerset, KY, and Tyler Inman of Somerset, KY; a brother, Burton (and Lula) Davis of Greenfield, IN; two sisters, Jane (and Richard) Polston of Greenfield, IN and Gail (and Litton) Nevels of Whitley City, KY; and special caregivers, Beulah, Lisa, Loraine, and Cathy.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Cash, whom she married on August 24, 1957 in Whitley City, KY; two sisters, Maxine Davis and Genevia Brown; and two brothers, Paul Davis and Claude "JR" Davis.
Visitation for Mrs. Cash will be Tuesday, March 22nd at 5:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 23rd at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. C.E. Jacobs and Bro. Ed Amundson officiating. Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family request expressions of sympathy be made to the High Street Baptist Church Building Fund.
