Mary "Cathy" Catherine Shepherd, age 74, of Somerset, KY., departed this life on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Cumberland Nursing and Rehab Center.
Mary was born on May 8, 1943 in Somerset, KY., to the late Merial and Ruth Sowders Wilson. She was a member of Campground Baptist Church and a Florist at Louise's Florist for over 35 years.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Shepherd of Somerset, KY., and David (and Star) Shepherd of Sidney OH; two grandchildren, Amber Bockrath and Tara Schulze, seven great-grandchildren, Skylar Hull, Mikayla Bockrath, Adam Bockrath, Jace Taylor, Faith Bockrath, Madelyn Bockrath, and Kennedy Schulze, one sister, Myrna Dalton of Lexington, KY.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Shepherd, of whom she married in June 1961, and a sister, Jeannie Hall.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 after 6:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. David Muse, Bro. Ronald Shepherd, and Bro. Rick Watson officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Campground Baptist Church.
