Mary Gifford

Mary Marlene Weddle Gifford, daughter of the late James Clarence and Thelma Flynn Weddle, was born on June 5, 1932. She departed this life on Saturday September 10, 2011, having attained the age of 79 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. William Robert Gifford on January 1, 1950 in Somerset, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1990.
Survivors include; four daughters, Lisa (and Gary) Compton of Somerset, KY, Kathy (and Bill) Clouse of Somerset, KY, Robyn (and Allan) Cheuvront of Somerset, KY, and Kelly (and Calvin) McFarland of Monticello, KY; one granddaughter, Katie McFarland of Monticello, KY; seven grandsons, Dr. Aaron (and Monica) Compton of Louisville, KY, Dr. Shea (and Ashley) Cheuvront of Somerset, KY, Matthew Clouse of Somerset, KY, Brett Compton of Somerset, KY, Andrew Clouse of Somerset, KY, Cameron Cheuvront of Somerset, KY and Alex McFarland of Monticello , KY; one sister, Elgene "Genie" Weddle Whitson of Greenwood, IN; a niece and nephew, Lynda Bricker and Craig Whitson; one brother-in-law, Horace Gifford of Danville, KY.
Other than her parents, and husband, she was also preceded in death by twin sons, Anthony and Timothy Gifford.
Marlene was a successful realtor for twenty years, past president of the Somerset-Pulaski County Board of Realtors, an American Contract Bridge Life Master, and a member of the West Somerset Baptist Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at the Pulaski Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2011 with Bro. David Pendley and Dr. Curtis Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family of Marlene Gifford will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011.
