Marla Mobbs

Alice “Marla” Carter Mobbs age 57, of Somerset, KY., passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Marla was born September 14, 1963 in Somerset, to Mildred Sewell Carter and the late Charles Carter. She was the Owner/Operator at Pro Touch Hair Salon since 1993 and a former Hair Stylist at Regis Salon and loved her clients. Marla was a caregiver, was always helping people, and would not turn anyone away for any reason. She enjoyed dancing and was always “the life of the party”. She enjoyed traveling to the beach, Gatlinburg, and Lexington with her husband, son, and her Momma.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy Mobbs of Science Hill, KY; a son, Chad Mobbs of Science Hill, KY; her mother, Mildred Sewell Carter of Somerset; two brothers, Ottie (and Melissa) of Somerset and Doyle (and Kathy) Carter of Somerset; nieces and nephews, Eric and Lori Carter, Ross and Emily Carter, Rachel Carter, Tandra and Alex Clark, Tori Carter, and Cheyenne Bowling; great nieces, Brianne, Taylor, Hannah Carter, Aubrey Downey, Olivia Clark, and Ava Cochran; 2 brothers-in-law, John Mobbs of Somerset and Joseph Marcouillier of Kansas City; and sister-in-law, Judy Pietch of Colorado.

Marla was preceded in death by her father, Charles Carter.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 after 5:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 10:00am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Mike Griffith officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
