Marie Burton, age 92, of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Somerwoods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Marie was born on May 25, 1923 in King Bee, KY to the late Henry and Bonnie Dick. She was a member of Heritage Hope Church of God.
She is survived by five sons, Calvin E. (and Sandra) Burton of Lakehurst, NJ, O.V. (and Jo Ann) Burton of Richmond, KY, Larrie D. (and Connie) Burton of Somerset, KY, Robert L. (and Pat) Burton of Celina, TN and Rodney Burton of Jeffersonville, IN; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe T. Burton who passed away on January 8, 1997; two daughters, Janet K. Burton and Kathy Franklin; two brothers, William Clarence Dick and Oscar Roy Dick; a sister, Ruby Thompson; and a grandson, O.V. Burton II.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 2:00PM until 5:00PM at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:00AM at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Dunbar officiating. Entombment will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family requests donations be made to the Somerwoods Nursing & Rehab Activity Fund or Hospice of Lake Cumberland
