Lorraine Lillian Holloway Metz, age 92, of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Friday, June 25, 2010 in Fairfield, OH.
She was born on November 16,1917 in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Gramke) Holloway. She was a homemaker and a member of the Oak Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Metz is survived by a son, James Dennis (and Peggy) Metz of Fairfield, OH; a sister, Audrey L. Giddens of Florida; three grandchildren, Richard (and JoAnn) Metz, Melissa Kordenbrock, and Robert "Bobby" (and Crissy) Metz; great grandchildren, Kristin Metz, Kayla Kordenbrock, Jessica Metz, Carly Metz, Whitley Metz, Mitch Metz; and a great-great grandchild, Hayden Metz.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, James Bell Metz, whom she married on December 16, 1933; a son, Gerald "Jerry" Metz; a brother, Robert J. Holloway; and a sister, Edna Davis.
Visitation for Mrs. Metz will be Tuesday, June 29th at 5:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm. Bro. Harold Brown will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 30th at Lakeside Memorial Gardens for Mrs. Metz.
