Loretta Zimmerman Mays, age 73, of Nancy, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at her residence.
She was born on November 17, 1943 in the Cain Store Community in Nancy, KY, daughter of the late Ewell and Pauline Schoolcraft Zimmerman.
Loretta was a member of Burnetta Baptist Church. She was employed at Wal-Mart for seventeen years and was a graduate of the Class of 1961 at Nancy High School.
She is survived by her daughter, Dana (and Ron) Dunagan of Somerset, three grandchildren; Jason Dunagan, Justin Dunagan and Jennifer Dunagan, one great-granddaughter, Adylee Dunagan. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and leaves behind many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Larry Zimmerman and Jimmy Zimmerman.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 25, 2017 after 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Stan Childers officiating.
Entombment will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to White Oak Cemetery Fund.
