Linville Gene Daulton

August 20, 1943 — June 2, 2024

Linville "Gene" Daulton, 80, of Somerset passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Hospice of the Markey Cancer Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born August 20, 1943 in Norfleet, Kentucky to the late Lester and Alma (Martin) Daulton. Gene, as he was known was of the Baptist faith and had accepted Christ as his savior and was baptized at a young age. On July 11, 1982 he was united in marriage to Mildred Graybill and they enjoyed 42 wonderful years together. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard for six years. He lived in Otterbein, Indiana for several years where he was employed by Rowe Truck Equipment as a welder. He returned to Kentucky in 1986, where he was employed as a carpenter where he did trim and finishing for many years for various builders. Gene loved cars and enjoyed anything that involved them. From car shows to NASCAR and NHRA drag racing and even tractor pulls, he was a big fan! He also enjoyed University of Kentucky Basket Ball and playing Mexican Train Dominoes, and going to Frische's for cups of coffee. The thing he most enjoyed was spending time with his family and friends who he loved dearly.

Gene is survived by his wife, Mildred Daulton, a brother, Reed and Sarah Daulton of Kirklin, Indiana, one sister Shirley and Dave Bradley of Tipton, Indiana, one sister in Law, Mary Daulton, one special aunt, Velta Martin, one step daughter, Tammi Hawkins of Lafayette, Indiana, as well as one step granddaughter Sausha. he also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him greatly.

He was preceded in death by His parents, a daughter, Janet Lee Gould, two brothers Wendell Joe "Jack" Daulton and Winfred "C" Daulton, one sister in law Carol (Calhoun) Daulton as well as three step grand children; Josh, Jonathon and Jessica.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with Bro. Mark Polston officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
