Linda Weddle

Linda Mae Oakes Weddle of Nancy, Kentucky passed from this life on November 2, 2018 at the Jean Waddle Care Center. she was surrounded by her loving and caring family as she made her transition to her heavenly home.

She was born on May 31, 1947 in Jabez, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Earlin and Vonnie Bolin Oakes. Linda attended the Huffaker Church of God. She was a pie maker at Haney's Appledale Farm and a former member of Good New Singers. She enjoyed singing, going to church, spending time with her family and cooking for family dinners.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earlin & Vonnie Bolin Oakes; one son, Kevin Weddle. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband Arvil Dee Weddle; her children Dormus (Barney) Weddle (Tammy Flathers) of Nancy; Lisa Weddle (Travis Wesley) of Somerset; Alexis (Lexi) Weddle of Nancy and special daughter-in-law, Linda K. Weddle; brothers, Wendell and Anna (Tiny) Oakes of Nancy; Dorman Oakes of Sano; and sister, Marilyn Harris of Somerset and Carmoletta (Gary) Baldock of Somerset; grandchildren, Alaina Lanigan of Waynesburg; Dillon Dick of Somerset; Danny Weddle and Hailey Weddle, both of Nancy; one great grandchild, Britian of Nancy.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2018, in the Chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company and Crematory.
The Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in the Chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company, with Bro. Harvey Antle and Bro. Chuck Elam officiating. Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
