Laverne Keith

Laverne Eubanks Keith, 97, of Eubank passed away Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Jean Waddle Care Center Hospice of Lake Cumberland.

She was born in Eubank, Kentucky on February 9, 1925; daughter of the late Richard Taylor and Mollie Agnes (Denney) Eubanks. She worked for Paul's Discount for a number of years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and baking pies and cakes. She had a love for canning, ensuring that the freezer and shelves of her pantry were fully stocked for her family. Church was an important part of her life, she had a love for singing, and had a beautiful alto voice. Later in life one of her greatest joys was getting her family together and singing gospel hymns. Holding true to family tradition, she was a lifetime member of Estesburg Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children, Wayne & (Carole) Keith of Marietta, GA, Elaine & (Dwain) McMullin, Donna & (Ray) Caldwell, and David & (Sandra) Keith all of Eubank; twelve grandchildren, Suzanne Keith, Dana Keller Bush, Christopher Keith, Angela Keller Absher, Adam Keller, Molly Caldwell, Chelsea Keith, Aaron Keith, Kayla Dick, Henry Lorman, Kelsey Lorman, and Brandon Lorman; twenty three great grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry S. Keith; her parents, Richard Taylor and Mollie Agnes (Denney) Eubanks; and three siblings, Frances Bishop, Doris Helton, and Alvin Eubanks.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ferlin Price, and Bro. Thad Eubank officiating.

Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends after 11 AM Saturday, July 30, 2022 until time for services.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
