Laura Ruth Kirby, of Nancy, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center in Somerset, KY. She was 82.

Born December 19, 1934, in Livingston, KY, she was a daughter of the late Dewey and Bertha Parker Bingham. Laura Ruth was active in the Dunnville Christian Church. She enjoyed having guests in her home and providing hospitality for them. She was passionate about politics. Laura Ruth was an artist, painter, and adventure seeker. She was an entrepreneur and realtor.

Survivors include her husband, whom she wed on December 19, 1967, Thomas Kirby; daughter, Laura Lee (and husband, Steve) Fox of Dunnville; two grandsons, Jason (and wife, Emily) Fox of Elizabethtown and Charlie (and wife, Natalie) Fox of Lexington; and four great-grandchildren, Stella, Vivian, Stanley, and Boone Thomas.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 5, 2017, at the Dunnville Christian Church with Jason and Charlie Fox officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Nancy, KY. Visitation will be from 5-8PM on Sunday at the Dunnville Christian Church and from 12Noon until 2PM on Monday at the Church.

Pallbearers will be David VanHoosier, Pat Terry, Kyle Terry, Carl Kirby, Derek Kirby, and William Kirby. Honorary pallbearers will be Boone Thomas Fox and Stanley Fox.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Dunnville Christian Church Building Fund, PO Box 149, Dunnville, KY 42528.
