Larry Ray Vanhoosier, age 65, of Somerset, KY, departed this life on Saturday, February 18, 2017.
Larry was born on November 1, 1951 in Faubush, KY to Montie Floyd Vanhoosier and the late Clinton Vanhoosier. He loved hunting, fishing, working on cars and motorcycles, and building furniture. Larry worked at Tecumseh for over 20 years and was a member of Somerset Independent Church.
He is survived by his mother, Montie Vanhoosier of Somerset; his former wife, Scottie Jo Snell of Somerset; a stepson, Shane (and Emily) Smith of Sellersburg, Ind.; two step grandchildren, Lily Smith and Chloe Smith; a brother, Jerry (and Vickie) Vanhoosier of Nancy; a nephew, David (and Stacy) Vanhoosier; and a great nephew, Mac King.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clinton Vanhoosier.
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will follow on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. David Carr officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
