Kenneth Hahn

Kenneth Eugene Hahn, 78, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born in Somerset On July 7, 1932 to the late Theo and Rosie Wilson Hahn and was united in marriage to Rosa Testa Hahn on March 23, 1955 in Naples, Italy. He was a Seaman First Class U.S. Navy Veteran having served in the Korean War. Kenneth was co owner of Hahn Wood Products which he began in 1976 with his sons Tony and Terry. He began South End Woodwork in 1960 with Charles Ping, and in 1966 East Somerset Woodworks with James Whitis. He enjoyed drawing, painting, BBQ & grilling out for family and friends. He loved to make gifts for people and he loved his church, High Street Baptist. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them. Kenneth was a very kind and giving person that will be greatly missed.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, sons: Gary Dean Hahn of Somerset, Tony Ray (Bobbie) Hahn of Somerset, and Terry William (Rebecca) Hahn of Somerset, grandchildren: Allison Hahn (Chuck) Sobieck, Christopher William Hahn, and Anna Hahn (Jordan) Milby all of Somerset, great-grand children: Julien Sobieck and Rae Elizabeth Sobieck.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Jeannette Ping.

Visitation for Kenneth will be Monday, June 6 at 6:00 pm at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co. & Crematory.

A celebration of Kenneth's life will be on Tuesday, June 7 at 2:00pm at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co. & Crematory with Rev. Sammie Adkins and Bro. C.E. Jacobs officiating.

Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be: Gary Hahn, Tony Hahn, Terry Hahn, Christopher Hahn, Chuck Sobieck and Jordan Milby. Honorary pallbearers are: Mike Bourne, Edwin Sears, Charles Ping, Darrell Ping, Chuck Ping, Barry Phillippi, Scott Phillippi, and Donnie Whitis.

Somerset Undertaking Co. & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
