Kathy Lee Haney Gadberry, 41, of Somerset, KY., passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. She was born in Paris, TN to Buddy and Charlotte Fairburn Haney. She married Joey Gadberry on May 27, 2005 in Somerset.

Kathy has an Associate Degree from Somerset Community College and a graduate of Somerset High School in 1986. She was involved in a variety of programs: Cal Ripken Baseball and Lake Cumberland Football League. She was an avid supporter of the Somerset Band and Somerset Sports Program. She was very proud of the people that supported Team Kathy in the Relay for Life American Cancer Society. She was also of the Baptist faith.

Kathy is survived by her husband, parents, two sons: Evan Cole Massey and Thomas James Massey of Somerset; step son, Tanner Gadberry of Somerset and one step-daughter, Paige Gadberry also of Somerset. She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Jim and Ruth Gadberry of Nancy, KY; sisters: Debra (Andy) Johnson and Tracy (Kellie) Robinson; brother-in-laws: Wayne (Penny) Gadberry of Nancy, KY. and Jerry (Pauletta) Gadberry of Somerset, KY.; sister-in-law, Shirley (Dale) Henderson of Eubank, KY.; nieces and nephews: Corey Robinson, Tucker Robinson, Taylor Robinson, Kaitlyn Johnson, Drew Johnson, Tara Gadberry, Scott Gadberry, Michael Henderson, Cori Smallwood, Megan Henderson, Lindsey Gadberry and Lucas Gadberry; aunt, Linda (Tom) Buckner of Birmingham, AL and several cousins and a very special friend, Ursula Stewart.

Visitation for Kathy Lee Haney Gadberry will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at First Baptist Church.

A celebration of Kathy's life will be held Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church with Dr. French Harmon and Rev. Gilbert Robinson officiating. Family will be receiving friends until time of service.

Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

The family request that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Central Baptist Hospital, c/o Palliative Care Team, 1740 Nicholasville Rd., Lexington, KY. 40503 or the American Cancer Society.
