Julia P. Hardison, age 80, presently of Somerset, formerly of Lakeland, Florida, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Julia was born on June 26, 1935, in Whitesville, North Carolina, to the late Julian and Alice Stanley.
She was a homemaker. Julia was of the Baptist faith. She loved music and playing guitar. Julia was an excellent cook, especially when it came to baking breads and cakes. Julia loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her daughters, Elaine Randolph, of Somerset, and Donna (and Steve) Leonard, of Lakeland, Florida; her grandchildren, Dustin (and Megan) Randolph, of Somerset, Casey (and Aaron) Hundley, of Lexington, Jessica (and Kenny) Jordan, of Annapolis, Maryland, Brittany (and Jamal) Rayan, of Georgetown, and Tad Johnston (and Brandi Eldridge), of Jacksonville, Florida; and great-grandchildren, Austin, Christian, Grayson, Amaya, Darby and Piper.
Julia is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Warrington Stanley and Robert Stanley; and her sisters, Lillian Hunt, Ruby Lamb and Helen Thompson.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 27, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., in the Southern Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service will be held following the visitation, at 1:00 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Brian Plants officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
