Joan Garner

Joan Carolyn Garner, age 76 of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019. She was born on September 21, 1943, the daughter of the late Willard and Hazel Tarter Branscum.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Gerald Garner on September 23, 1961, he survives.

Other survivors include; two daughters, Kim (and Arthur) Crawford, and Amy (and Gordon) Hotchkiss; seven grandchildren, Kathryn (and Spenser) Claiborne, Sarah (and Dakota) Brown, Matthew Crawford, Riley Crawford, Griffin Hotchkiss, Abbey Hotchkiss and Grant Hotchkiss; one great grandchild, Rex Arthur Claiborne; three brothers, Gene Branscum, Roger (and Lana) Branscum, and Terry Branscum; one sister, Charlotte (and Jason) McPheron; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends who mourn her passing.

Joan was a retired loan officer from Monticello Banking Company. She was a wonderful lady who loved her family and her church. She was a charter member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church where she was very active and served in several roles.

A funeral service for Joan Garner will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Strader officiating. Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

The family of Mrs. Joan Garner will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home after 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 29th, 2019.

In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the Alzheimer's  Association.
