Irene Herrin

Irene Herrin, 83, of Science Hill, KY., passed away Friday, June 3, 2011 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born in Liberty, KY. to the late John Tate and Stella Wheeler Tucker. She was married to the late Paul Herrin.

Irene was a member of Saline Baptist Church. She was very proud of her Christian Walk. She loved working in her vegetable and flower garden. She enjoyed sewing, visiting with her grandchildren, going out to eat and driving around in her car. She was a caregiver.

Irene is survived by her sons: Donald E. (Judy) Herrin of Munfordville, KY, Paul Robin Herrin of Science Hill, KY and Rickie Allen Herrin of Science Hill, KY. ;daughter, Sandy Craft of Somerset, KY.; 9 grandchildren: Daniel Wayne Herrin, Lisa Rene Girkey, Jeffery Allen Rohlmann, Amanda Blevins, Johnny Nagle, Brian Patrick Herrin, Christopher Andrew Herrin, LaRenda Larre Stewart, and Rebecca Gene Herrin; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, brothers: James Tucker and Forrest Tucker; and sisters: Biddie Tucker, Della Lawhorn, Mildred Wall, Ruth Abrams, Kathleen Starnes and Opal Salee.

Visitation for Irene will be held Sunday, June 5 after 5:00pm at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking & Crematory.

A celebration of Irene's life will be held Monday, June 6 at 11:00am at Saline Baptist Church with Bro. Noah Broughton officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 10:00am until time for service.

Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
