On the early morning of Tuesday, August 6th, 2024, Heaven gained a mighty and faithful soul. Howard Gibson was called up from this walk of life by the Lord at age 77. Howard was a true outdoorsman, an avid hunter, he loved to garden, build, and create. He was quite the storyteller, and loved to play guitar and sing. For anyone who's ever had a conversation with him, there is no doubt that he would witness to you about the salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He was a living testimony that touched the lives of so many. Howard had an unyielding and sincere love for God and his family. There are truly no words to ever express this tremendous loss. We all know that we will one day rejoice with him in Heaven where there is no pain, suffering, or sadness. A Bible verse he held dear is Matthew 28:19-20:
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even until the end of the world. Amen.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Josh McClendon officiating.
