Homer Davis

Homer Darvin Davis Sr., age 82, of Ferguson, KY., peacefully and gently went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Homer was born on December 20, 1938 in Keno, KY to the late Lester Davis and Mattie Hay Davis. He attended New Life COG Mountain Assembly. He was an avid UK fan, a former Sunday School Superintendent, YPE Leader, and enjoyed working in his church. Homer loved the Lord, his family, and his church.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Love Davis of Ferguson; three sons, Homer Darvin Davis, Jr (and Martina) of Somerset; Mark (and Donna) Davis of Somerset; and Rodney (and Sue) Davis of Somerset; two brothers, Bill (and Jewel) Davis and Charlie (and Lorena) Davis; three sisters, Shirley Stout, Diane (and Russell) Stout and Genalea Nunn; five grandchildren, Dustin Davis, Tiffanie Stringer, Gabe Davis, Sarah Davis, and Megan Davis; six great-grandchildren, Kaeden Stringer, Matti Davis, Skylar Stringer, Paisley Stringer, Jackson Thorpe, and Kylie Stringer and many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Lester and Mattie Davis, he was preceded in death by a brother, Russell Davis and a sister, Glenna Adkisson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 11:00am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Burnett and Bro. Doug Walden officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
