Helen Ethridge

Helen L. Ethridge, age 58, of Burnside, KY passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington following an extended illness. She was born in Independence, Missouri on July 10, 1958 to the late Charles Benjamin and Flora Nelson.

Helen was a retired cafeteria employee of the Galena Park Independent School District, Galena Park, TX. She enjoyed being a homemaker, going for Sunday drives, cooking, the welfare of others , and she was, most of all, a loving mother.

She is survived by: two sons, Dale and Christopher Ethridge both of Burnside, KY; boyfriend of 15 years, James Mink; and her extended family: Sherry and Marty Scruggs, Linda Mink, Jimmy Wayne Mink, Kayla Mink, Ashley Rose, Jennifer Mink, Josie Scruggs, Alecia Phelps, Lori Scruggs, Danny and Paulette Mink. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Ruby N. Nelson,

A service celebrating the life of Helen L. Ethridge will be held on Tuesday September 6, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company and Crematory. A visitation will be from 11:00 AM (Tuesday) until time for service. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
