George Burton

Mr. George Burton, age 92; of Somerwoods Nursing Home departed this life on Saturday morning January 27, 2018 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland, Jean Waddle Care Center.
George was a long time member of Bethlehem Baptist Church at Nancy. He was the eldest member, he would have been 93 years of age on March 11, 2018, having been born in the Burnetta Community. George lived his entire life in the Burnetta and Ard Ridge communities of Pulaski Co. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by a niece, Phyllis Hall of Nancy; two sister-in-laws, Irene Ard and Lois Hansford, both of Somerset; and a brother-in-law, Charles W. Beshears of Dallas, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jackson and Emma Burkett Burton; his wife, Anna Beshears Tarter Burton; two brothers, Lloyd Burton of Illinois, and Lee Burton of Somerset; one sister, Geneva Zimmerman of Nancy.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Stevenson officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
Visitation for Mr. George Burton will be after 11 AM Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Pulaski Funeral Home until time for services.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 4411 Highway 1664 Nancy, KY 42544.
