Evelene Wilson

Evelene Tarter Wilson, age 84, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Somerset Nursing and Rehab.

She was born in Naomi, Kentucky to the late Arthur (Dad) Tarter and Clara Owens Tarter Hicks on January 10, 1936. She married Kelly Wilson Jr., he preceded her in death.

She is survived by 1 son, Roger (Connie) Wilson of Somerset, Ky; 1 brother, Herman (Donna) Tarter; 2 sisters, Kathlene (Junior) Pence of Somerset, Ky; Dora Stickly of Danville, Ky; sister-in-laws, Louis Tarter of Cincinnati, Oh; Nelda Tarter of Somerset, Ky; Josephine Wilson of Somerset, Ky.

Preceding her in death, brothers, Bernell (Mousie) Tarter, Larry Tarter, Terry Tarter, Charles Tarter, Raymond Tarter, 1 sister, Carrie Bushong.

She loved gospel music, she was a hard worker, she worked at Ted Johnson Dollar Store many years, was a waitress, and volunteered at Oakwood as a grandparent.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 1 P.M. with Bro. Randy Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Southern Oaks Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Evelene Tarter Wilson.
