Eula Warner, age 95 of Somerset, KY departed this life on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at her home.
She was born on November 12, 1914 in Russell County, KY, the daughter of James Wylie and Delilah Erma Wilson Sullivan. She was a homemaker and member of White Oak Baptist Church. Mrs. Warner enjoyed quilting, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and gospel singing. She was an avid U.K. sports fan. She was a person who deeply loved her family, friends and the Lord.
Mrs. Warner is survived by two sons, Vertrees (and Carolyn) Warner of Naples, FL and Richard (and Felicia) Warner of Somerset, KY; eight grandchildren, Kimberly (and Barry) Garner of Somerset, KY, Jennifer (and Robert) Burgess of Somerset, KY, Kevin Warner, Jill Warner, Angela (and Ricky) Curtsinger, Mark (and Renae) Hay, all of Lexington, KY, James (and Maria) Warner of Tracy, CA, and Rick Warner of Pittsburgh, PA; twelve great grandchildren, Callie Garner, Catie Garner-Bilz, Morgan Burgess, Kendall Burgess, Gracie Burgess, Jackson Burgess, John Richard Curtsinger, Jillian Curtsinger, Jemma Warner, Fernanda Warner, Isis Warner, and Gordon Farley; a brother-in-law, Sam Ard; and a special friend and caretaker, Doris Dobson.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Charles M. Warner whom she married on February 13, 1932 in Burnetta, KY and who passed away on December 7, 2000; a son, J.C. Warner; and two sisters, Era Davenport and Rita Ard.
Visitation for Mrs. Warner will be Thursday, July 15th at 6:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 16th at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. James Floyd officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
