Emory Catern Abbott was born March 3, 1948 in the Beech Grove community of Pulaski County to the late Edward G. Abbott and Lorene E. Harrison Abbott and passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky reaching the age of 68 years.
Emory is survived by his mother, Lorene Abbott; 3 daughters, Marci (Michael) Johnson of Lexington, Emily Abbott, and Vonda (Rodney) Mitchell of Somerset. He is also survived by his sisters; Rachel Keith, Marlene Rose, Connie Foster, Nova Calhoun, and Doris Foster, and his brother, Jerry Abbott along with 8 grandchildren; Dalton and Mariah Dalton, Alliyha, Leland and Norah McKee, Veronica Cox, Lucas and Keith Mitchell and 3 great-grandchildren.
Emory is preceded in death by his father and siblings; Daniel and Deloris Abbott.
