Elsie M. Gilliam, age 93 of Somerset, departed this life on Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Somerwoods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on June 16, 1918 in Somerset, Kentucky. Mrs. Gilliam was the widow of Franklin Gilliam, who passed away on October 30, 1989.
Mrs. Gilliam is survived by two brothers-in-law, Clay (and Marie) Gilliam of Cincinnati, OH and Bobby (and Kathaleen) Gilliam of Mt. Orab, OH and seven sisters-in-law, Alenane Shannon of Springfield, OH, Virginia Conley of Phillipsburg, OH, Jane (and Ralph) Lorenz of Longview, TX, Vivian Akins of California, Evelyn Dunham of Bethel, OH, June (and Terry) Waters of Bethel, OH, and Opal Myers of Indiana.
Visitation for Mrs. Gilliam will be Monday, July 11th at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with her funeral service at 12 Noon. Bro. Lenn Carmichael will officiate. Interment will be in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
