Elizabeth Susan "Betty Sue Akers" Walker, 75, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Jewish Hospital in Madeira, Ohio.

She was born in Twila, Kentucky on May 9, 1936, daughter of the late Hiram Clinton and Shelley Blanton Akers. She was an administrator and manager for Dorel Hinkle Enterprises in Cincinnati, OH. She also worked for Delco/GM.

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Shelley & (Dean) Mitchell of Knoxville, TN and Arbidella Walker of South Windsor, CT, three sisters, Helen Akers Wynne of Louisville, KY, Arbidella Akers-Garner & (Billy R.) of Cincinnati, OH and Somerset and Joy Akers McClain & (Larry) of Pittsburgh, PA and six grandchildren, Lauren, Zachary and Victoria Rose Mitchell and Justin, Amanda and Jonathan Morhardt. She is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews, Noel E. Wynne II, Shelley Wynne, Moroni Wynne, Maxtom Wynne, Anthony J. Thomps, Hiram Clinton Akers III, Angela Akers, Donna Shelley Akers Obermeier, Chucky Akers, Ricky Kennedy II, Joey E. Kennedy and Jenny Ray & (Kenny) Tharp and great-nieces and great-nephews, Nicholas Tharp, Lindsay J. Thomas and Jarrod F. Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Hiram Clinton Akers II and Herman C. "Chuck" Akers, brother-in-law, Noel E. Wynne and special friend, Thomas J. Carraher.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Noah Broughton officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
