Elizabeth New

Elizabeth "Beth" Jane New was taken by our Lord on August 6, 2021.

She was the daughter of Robert O. New and Doris J. Padgett New.

Beth was a special needs child with mental and physical challenges. Most people see a special needs person and avoid them or look away because they see only the outer shell, the physical being, the limitations, and the different.

Beth was blessed to be surrounded by loving and caring people; her family and her second wonderful family who saw her everyday at her group home and active day center. She was surrounded by people who loved her, had come to know her as a person, and as an individual. They saw her ability to reason, understand and express her thoughts and feelings. Beth will be remembered as a woman of gentle, well - mannered ways, of having great inner - strength, as well as her love and beauty.

When Beth was a little child I could hear her at night in her bed playing, rocking back and forth, swinging her arms. I would listen so close to make sure she was safe and not having another seizure. Mostly, I would hear excitement , joy and happiness coming from her room. The next day when I asked her " Beth what was all the excitement about last night?" Her answer, was always the same, ALWAYS. I was at a party last night with friends and I was dancing and dancing! Now my sweet angel is in Heaven, late at night she is dancing in the stars.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 12:00 P.M. till service time at Pulaski Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
