Elizabeth Sultzbach Long, age 95, of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Elizabeth was born on May 5, 1924, in Somerset, daughter of the late Clarence George Sultzbach and Myrtle Lindermyth Sultzbach Snyder. She was a member of the Somerset High School graduating Class of 1943. Elizabeth worked for years as a Press Operator for the Palm Beach Company of Somerset. She married Connie Long on July 3, 1952, in Jellico, Tennessee. Elizabeth loved to sew, play Solitaire and work word puzzles.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Mofield (and Roy Glen), of Somerset, and Jacqueline Long, of Somerset; her grandchildren, Chad Glenn Mofield (and Mandy) James Gregory Long; and her great-grandchildren, Autumn Wosley and Gauge Long.
Preceding Elizabeth in death are her parents; her husband, Connie, who passed away on August 22, 1984; her brothers, James Sultzbach and Howard Sultzbach; and her sister, Helen Sultzbach Griffin.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 19, 2019, after 9:00 a.m., in the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company.
A Celebration of the Life of Elizabeth S. Long will be Monday, August 19, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ed Amundson officiating. Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideons International for Bible placement or to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
