Edna Wesley

June 16, 1926 — June 1, 2008

Edna Mae Wesley, daughter of the late W.C. and Martha Thompson Alexander, was born in Pulaski County, Ky., on June 16,1926, and she departed this life in the presence of her family on Sunday morning, June 1, 2008 having attained the age of 81 years old.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Harold Wesley who preceded her in death. Survivors include one son, Bryon Wayne (and Myrna)Wesley; three daughters, Donna Wesley, Barbara (and Howard)Keeney and Sharon (and George Dale) Edwards; her grandchildren, George Dale Edwards II, Brian Matthew Edwards, Kelly Marie Wesley and Aleisha Nicole (and Johnny) Wilson; her sisters, Marieta Barthelemy, Warner Robbins, GA.,Betty Lou (and Wilbert) Harper, Vandilla, Ohio, Frances fuller Harper, Macon, GA.; and the following nephews and nieces: Robert (and Becky ) Barthelemy, Bill Barthelemy, Roby (and Dale ) Fuller, Linda (and Johnny) Leggett, Gary Harper, Karen (and Jim) Cupp, Robert (and Jan) Alexander and Richard (and Sheila) Warnock.

When she was active, she was the business manager for the Watsons Department Store in somerset, as well as a homemaker. She was a member of the Nelson Valley Baptist Church.

Other than her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by tow brothers, Charles and Paul Alexander; and one sister, Lois Alexander Warnock.

Edna was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her and she leaves a host of relatives, friends and church family who both mourn her passing and celebrate her homecoming.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday June 4, 2008, at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with the Rev. Grant Hardwick and the Rev. David Meece officiating.

Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens. The family of Mrs. Edna Alexander Wesley will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 4,2008, until time for services.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests epressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, The Gideon Memorial Bible Plan or Nelson Valley Baptist Church Building Fund.
