Edith M. Cooper, age 95, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed from this life on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at the Somerset Nursing and Rehab.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Beecher Lee Dagley and Hazel Reid Dagley in Somerset, Kentucky.
She attended Marantha Baptist Church and loved Kentucky Wildcats and Cincinnati Reds. She managed/operated Cooper Shell along with her husband, Ray. She enjoyed being with grandkids, camping and R.V.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Beecher and Hazel Dagley, husband, Ray Cooper, brothers, Kenneth Lee Dagley, Madison Hampton “Hamp” Kelley, sister, Sarah Dagley and grandchildren, Judson Bryan Ping and Andrew William Ping.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Herbert Lee (Brenda) Ping of TN; Eddie Bill (Janie) Ping of Ferguson, TN; Bradford (Pamela) Ping of Somerset, Ky; grandchildren, Lindsey (Wesley) Finley, Brad Jr. Ping, Amber Ping, Aaron Ping, Rhonda (Kevin) Phifer, Tracie ( Rob) Ludwig, Samantha (Scott) Kleckner, Gretchen Ramsey, Edward Ping, Ashley Ping, Meredith (Trampus) Sandidge, Austin (Mari) Ping; great-grandchildren, Aria, Jireh, Denton, Addi, Brantley, Lilly, Mel, Carter, Clover, Meadow, Katie, Levi, Lincoln, Julien, Collin, Caven, Cybil and Cora; along with cousin, Helen Dagley, special friend, Mrs. Lorena Davis; along with host of friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 11:30 A.M. in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with a funeral service to begin at 12:30 P.M. with Bro. Clyde Strunk officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Samaritans Purse.
