Dorothy Shadoan Holloway of Grand Island, Florida passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at Florida Waterman Hospital in Eustis, Florida. She was 96 years old. She was born in Pulaski Co., Kentucky June 17, 1921 to John and Lucinda Abbott Shadoan.
After her husband Joe retired from Holloway Furniture Co. in Somerset, they moved to Florida where she enjoyed reading, cards, and making new friends. She was a loving wife, grandmother to her four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was a member of Haines Creek Baptist Church in Leesburg, Florida.
Survivors include a son, James & (Sue) Holloway of Keystone Heights, Florida a daughter, Jo Ann Howard of Cookeville, TN; grandsons, Bruce & (Jennie) Helton of Cookeville, TN; and Kent Holloway of St. Augustine, FL; granddaughters, Holly & (Rick) Jarvis of Cookeville, TN, and Kim & (Kirk) Cianciolo of Grainsville, FL.
In addition to her husband, Joe whom she married on March 29, 1939; she was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers, and two sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Pulaski Funeral Home with Kent Holloway officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Pulaski Funeral Home.
Pulaski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
