Dorothy Bolin

Dorothy Mae Bolin, age 99, of South Lebanon, OH, formerly of Somerset, KY, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024 in Mainville, OH.  Dorothy was born on March 22, 1925 in McCreary County, KY to Gainsey Strunk and Lizie (Vanover) Strunk.  She was a housewife and mother of ten children.  She enjoyed cooking, painting and coloring with family and her Grandchildren.  Dorothy was of Baptist faith and a member of Missionary Baptist Church.

Dorothy leaves behind three sons, Ronald (Beverly) Bolin of Bronston, Bob Bolin of Bronston, and Lenville (Paula) Bolin of Lebanon, OH; four daughters, Gail Southerland of Lebanon, OH, Vickey (Speedy) Allen of S. Lebanon, OH, Shirley (Limule) Gabbard of Clarkesville, OH, and Marcia Bolin of Lebanon, OH; 15 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; and 7 Great Great Grandchildren; and extended family members who are saddened by her passing.

In addition to her parents, Gainsey and Lizie Strunk; and her husband, Estle Bolin who passed away in 2003; she was preceded in death by three sons, Don Bolin, Michael Bolin (infant) and David Lee Bolin (infant); two Grandsons, Scotty Hogan and James Bolin; one Granddaughter, Alex Bolin; two brothers, Estel Strunk and Ralph Strunk; and two sisters, Mada Roberts and Carrie Coffey.

Visitation for Dorothy Mae Bolin will be on Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm  at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Hwy 80, Somerset, KY  42503.               

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 11:00 am with Bro. Jack Stallsworth     officiating.  Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Somerset, KY  42503.
