Donald Withers

Reverend Donald Withers, 81, of Lexington, KY, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017. He was born on December 27, 1935 in Russell Springs, Kentucky, to the late Malcolm and Mary Agnes Potts Withers. Donald was a graduate of Campbellsville College and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Rev. Withers served as a Baptist minister for over 50 years. Earlier in his career, he was a school teacher and also painted houses.

Besides his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his daughter, Greta Jane Withers, and his sisters, Sue and Laverne Withers.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Jane Weddle Withers, two sons; Jeff Withers of Lexington, and Royce Withers (Cori) of Nicholasville; one sister; Annette McNees (Ben) of Rockwood, TN; one grandson; Kyle Withers and one granddaughter, Jesi Ebelhar (Jeremy).

Services for Reverend Withers will be Monday, May 8 at 2:00 pm at the Milward - Man 'O War location, 1509 Trent Blvd in Lexington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Sunday, May 7. Burial will be at the Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Somerset, KY, on Tuesday, May 9 at 2:00 pm.
