Bro. Dennis Wayne Rose, 69, went to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, June 25, 2011 surrounded by his loving family.He was born April 19, 1942 in the Ruth Community of Pulaski County, Kentucky the son of the late Beckham and Jessie Mae Smiley Rose. He was united in marriage to Pearl Fulcher at Somerset, Kentucky on June 15, 1963. He was of the Baptist faith. Wayne enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being in the pulpit preaching and was a Baptist minister and a former pastor of Poplarville Baptist Church for many years. He was a Pulaski County Colonel and was a veteran of the United States Navy. Wayne was co-owner of Rose Pallets. Wayne is survived by his wife Pearl Rose, Somerset; one son, Billy Rose (Gracie), Somerset; one daughter, Donna Faye Rose, Somerset; five grandchildren, Josh Parsons (Afton), Jeff Parsons (Leona), Aaron Parsons (Ashley), Shawn Parsons, and Amy Lamb; five great grandchildren, Dalton Lamb, Aden Lamb, Alexis Lamb, Brock Parsons, Jackson Parsons; two brothers, Donald Rose (Jean), Somerset, and Bro. Marvin Rose (Margie), Line Creek; four sisters, Helen VanHook (Howard), Lottie Mae Burton, Dorothy Rose, all of Somerset, and Jolene Burgess (Kenny), Science Hill, Kentucky; many nieces and nephews, including Kelsey Burgess, Science Hill, Kentucky; also many friends and neighbors. Wayne was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Rose; parents, Beckham and Jessie Mae Rose; one sister, Mildred Vaughn; four brothers, Leslie Franklin Rose, Leroy Rose, Harold Rose and Clifford Rose.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Lange & New Bros. Funeral Home, 603 Monticello St with Bro. David Twilger, Bro. Larry Merritt and Bro. Harold Rose officiating. Interment will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held Tuesday after 5:00 pm. at the funeral home.
