Delmer Glen Dick, age 73, of Nancy, departed this life on Thursday, August 6, 2015, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Delmer was born on July 4, 1942, in Pointer, Kentucky, to the late Columbus "Biggin" and Martha Ellen Dick. He worked many years for the Crane Company, in Ferguson. Delmer was a self-employed farmer. He was a life-long Republican and was a member of many Republican organizations. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his sons, Rodney (and JoAnn), of Nancy, Scott (and Kawanna), of Harrodsburg, and Marcus Dick, of Somerset; his sisters, Lavene (and Ray) Sayers, of Nancy, and Farlene Sweet, of Cincinnati, Ohio; his grandchildren, Megan Jo McPherson, Matthew McPherson, Doug Garrison, Andrew Garrison, Elliott Dick, Josh Morgan and Austin Morgan; his great-grandson, Gavin Garrison; and special friends and neighbors, Bobby West and Carthel Howell.
Delmer is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Melody Jo McPherson.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 9, 2015, after 5:00 p.m., at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
His funeral service will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Travis Strunk officiating. Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
